Essay writing motivation is invaluable. Finding personal motivation is key to success in any academic environment. Whenever you set out to complete an academic task, you face the risk of demotivation. This simply means you cannot find the inspiration to get to work. Starting on any project is always the most difficult part. Once you start you will find that moving onward is not nearly as challenging.

Music is a great thing to have when you are working. Music in the background can truly be beneficial for you when writing. The reason for this is that the brain does not actually tell time on a regular basis; it tells time based on the surroundings and environment. It is for this reason that listening to a boring lecture can literally feel as though it made time slow down, or when you are having fun with a loved one, time seems to speed up. Music plays a big part in this. Music can dictate to the brain whether time is going by quickly or slowly.
Below is a list of great YouTube channels for music you can enjoy while writing your essay:

If you want to improve your essay writing process, you should avoid multitasking. This is an important thing to stress because what most people think of multitasking is incorrect.
First of all, there is no such thing as multi-tasking. Instead, there is task switching. Your mind is not able to focus all of its attention on two things at once. What it can do instead is switch faster and faster between the two or more tasks. This is an important distinction because it means that if you are trying to do two things at once, your mind will constantly switch between the two and this means time wasted during the switch. If you choose, instead, to focus on just one thing at a time until that one task is done, you can save time and avoid the need to switch tasks. In fact, studies indicate that your IQ drops by 15 points when you are trying to task switch, because it reduces the brain power you can apply to any given task.
There are many traits which can help students of any grade or age to become great writers. These essay writing qualities of a good student can be learned and mastered by anyone.

If you have been assigned with the task of writing a poetry analysis essay you may be wondering where to begin and what details you should cover when discussing a particular piece. Here are some tips that you can use to make this task more manageable and, in the course of your writing, gain a deeper understanding of the particular poem you are discussing.
Many students will analyze a poem using a few common factors.
- The language that is used in the piece itself including the choice of specific words by the poet;
- Specific imagery that the poet chose to include in the poem;
- The social factors that may have affected the poet when writing a specific poem.
This is the content part here and all of these factors are very important for you to look at when you are writing a poetry analysis essay and all three of them look at the same element: the actual words that the poet used. However, when you limit yourself to examining the language itself, there is a lot of meaning and nuance that you are potentially missing out.

The American Psychological Association has developed a formatting style that is used in several fields of study. A critical analysis paper is designed to examine a piece of work or article that has been written by someone else and the goal is to determine how effectively they present their point or argument. It is one of the most difficult pieces because many students don’t understand how to handle this type of assignment. However, by following this advice, you will be able to write your paper like a real critic.
- Read the Piece a Few Times
Read the text you need to write a critical analysis on a few times. While you are reading, be sure to try and answer several questions. You can make some notes on the answers to make sure that you can effectively analyze the piece.
– What is the artist arguing for or against? Analyze the writer’s thesis statement.
– Decide the context of the argument. Why is the author arguing for the point?
– Decide if they have provided a solution to the problem they are discussing. Is the solution plausible?
- Jot down the Supporting Evidence for the Main Points
Has the author utilized the information to support their main point or points?
- Determine the Author’s Appeal to the Reader
How does the author appeal to the reader to persuade them to believe in their point? Do they appeal to emotion (pathos)? How about to their logic or reason (logos)? Or their credibility (ethos)?
- Draw the Line
Do any questions arise when you are reading the piece or have all of the questions been effectively answered?
