Term Paper Outline

Writing a term paper outline is simple when you have the key elements for your course. For example, you may use your items from your weekly course objectives, the rubric for the term paper, or the chapter lists from your book. Term papers do not have to be overly difficult; they must simply follow the format that best fits the assignment at hand.

When developing your term paper outline consider the needs as identified from one of the previously mentioned items. Begin your outline with the introduction and write a short topic sentence that identifies your goals for the paper. Label each body paragraph with an objective from your rubric – or as identified by the other sources. With each objective, write a short topic sentence that identifies how this objective and your topic sentence will be related to each other. Following that, you may list the conclusion, which will restate the key points of your term paper in simplified terms. (more…)

Julius Caesar Essay

Julius Caesar was born in 100 BC to Gaius Julius Caesar and Aurelia. Julius grew up in the Subura District of Rome. His father died in Pisa in 85 BC while he was away on military duty. After his father’s death Julius developed a close relationship with his mother.

When Caesar was a young boy he had to flee from Sulla who was the dictator of Rome at the time. His family pleaded with Sulla to pardon Caesar. Sulla did so with reservations. He predicted Caesar would become a dangerous adversary.

Caesar returned to Rome and at 18 years old and his near death experience, he enlisted in the army. This was the beginning of his brilliant military career.

Eventually he became second in command of the Province Asia (Turkey). After two years there he returned to Rome. He was an officer of Crassus’s army against Sparticus and climbed up in the government by serving as Official in the Provinces. He got remarried to a wealthy woman and became allies with Crassus, then the richest man in Rome. (more…)

Dissertation Process

The dissertation process can be a very long run to travel. Many students will begin the degree program with a short introduction to the dissertation process; however, most students will not understand the process until the final months nearing completion. These are some things you should understand about the dissertation process.

First, the dissertation process is rarely the same between two different schools – so if you do not know the answers do not ask friends who went to other colleges. Second, the dissertation process is typically designed to take approximately 2 years and include other courses. This is because the dissertation can be literally hundreds of pages long and will many times include a specific study that must be conducted and evaluated. Third, nearly every single college will assign you a mentor or tutor to assist you with the dissertation process and to assist with the complications of the dissertation itself – such as through editing and reviewing the work. Thesis Format

Thesis formats may vary between colleges and even between degree programs. Many business colleges favor the APA format and develop their papers for submission to online databases to demonstrate the best practices of the student – and to assist in preventing other students from stealing your work. Other colleges may use MLA, Harvard, or even other variances of different styles for their thesis formats for writing Undergraduate thesis, Master’s thesis or Ph.D. thesis papers.

Every college offers a number of different ways for students to learn what type of formatting is required in the thesis. Some colleges provide assistance through online database sources, APA or MLA tutorials, or textbooks, and even by providing the student with a mentor or tutor to assist in accomplishing the strict goals of the paper. Many times, a mentor or tutor will require that the student work with the content and the formatting during the process of the paper; however, do not be surprised to spend the final month simply making changes to your thesis on the formatting requirements. Research Paper Outline

Your research paper outline is the best focal point you will have for your research paper. The research paper outline will enable you to keep track of your research and apply it effectively to your paper. First writing out the basic outline – Introduction, Body, and Conclusion, can do this. Following the basic information, you must insert your topic sentence or topic statement, and begin developing research to defend or dispute your topic sentence. Each source of research should be added into your outline to demonstrate where it should be and how it will be used. A historical review article would be in the section of your body that describes the history of your topic; however, it will also be noted in your introduction and key aspects will be part of your conclusion. Essay Outline

Creating your essay outline is very simple; you start with a basic outline. The basic outline consists of only the Introduction, Body, and Conclusion. From there, you must determine how many words or pages you have to work with to meet the requirements of your course. Remember, some instructors will take away points for greatly exceeding word count as well as failure to reach the word count. You should split your word or page count between the introduction, body, and conclusion. The introduction and conclusion should be of similar length – this is because the introduction will provide information to guide the reader into the paper and the conclusion will only wrap back up on the key aspects covered in the paper. If your instructor requires a five-page paper, you would assign one page to the introduction, 1 page to the conclusion, and give the other three pages to the body of your paper. (more…)

Titration Essay

Introduction
A titration is a laboratory procedure involving the carefully measured and controlled addition of a solution from a buret into a measured volume of a sample solution. By definition, volumetric analysis is quantitative analysis using accurately measured titrated volumes of standard chemical solutions. Titration is an example of volumetric analysis because it involves accurately measured volumes of a sample solution for analysis. The type of titration carried out is acid base titration using HCl and Na2CO3. In this titration, three major steps involved were first measure out an amount of known solution, add indicator and three, to titrate using unknown solution. At the first colour change the titration would stop.

Abstract
The purpose to this lab is to standardize an approximately 1 mol•L-1 solution of hydrochloric acid. There were many steps taken in this titration but the main steps were measuring out the amount of known solution, adding the indicator and finally, titrating the solution until the first colour change. Oliver Twist Essay

It is clear that oppression by poverty affects people differently. It affects not only individual people but also poverty takes it toll on the society that culminates it, which leads to class distinction. Poverty is the central theme in both Angela’s Ashes and Oliver Twist, and it has proven to have the ability to corrupt a man or on the other hand, make him stronger. Oliver Twist, from the novel Oliver Twist, and Frank McCourt, from the novel Angela’s Ashes, are two characters whom alike, manage to surpass poverty and make something of their lives. In contrast, Malachy McCourt from Angela’s Ashes, is a character that demonstrates how poverty can lead to the corruption of man both mentally and emotionally.

In Oliver Twist, Oliver is plagued with an impoverished lifestyle as an orphan in the workhouse. In nineteenth century England, it was hard for the children to escape the poverty that constrained them. Furthermore, the workhouses had become general mixed institutions containing all types of the destitute (the criminal and the lunatic as well as the sick and aged), with the consequent horrors arising out of unspecialized management, oppression and promiscuity. This type of dismal environment would perhaps allow the reader to assume a sense of corruption for Oliver. In spite of Oliver’s lack of love in his life, he is able to overcome the obstacles of hate, greed and revenge. (more…)

Cinderella Essay

Einstein says, “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.” The concept of fairy tales is been adopted from western civilization but it spread rapidly in other cultures. Might be parents got a new way to amuse or to put off their children from their persistence. In our childhood, the fairy tale we were always willing to listen was Cinderella. We never thought that what is about this tale of Cinderella that is too appealing that there are lots of versions in nearly every culture and that we beg our parents or elders to tell or read this for us again and again but now I think that it was her triumph over her evil step mother and sisters and the amusement that she is going to marry the prince which was the factor we always bothered our parents. Although her story differs from culture to culture, country to country and time to time but its theme remains the same, which is evil of her step mother and sisters and her survival from their cruelty. Her story has been passed from generation to generation for centuries. It has introduced us many ideas about life, relationships, and honesty. It also shows romantic relationships and gives attraction to young people like us to believe such myths. (more…)

Shylock Essay

‘The Merchant of Venice’ is a play written by William Shakespeare. The following essay will include a brief summery of what the play is about and how I feel about what happens to Shylock and whether I think Shylock is a victim or a villain.

The first major part is when Bassanio asks Antonio for a loan so he can travel to Belmot to woo the very lovely and rich Portia. Antonio agrees but can’t give the loan because all of his ships are at sea, so he tells Bassanio to go to a money lender. Antonio goes to Jewish money lender called Shylock to ask for a loan. Shylock hates Antonio and tricks him into promising to forfeit a pound of his flesh if he cannot pay the loan in time. Shylock’s daughter Jessica betrays him because she steals some of his ducats and runs away with Lorenzo who is a Christian. When Bassaino and Gratiano arrive at Belmot, Bassanio has to choose between a gold, silver and lead casket to be able to marry Portia. He chooses the correct casket (the lead) and he and Portia fall in love. Gratiano also falls in love with Nerissa, Portia’s lady in waiting. Sadly their happiness is short lived with the news that Antonio has lost all his money and the demented Shylock refuses to listen to reason so Portia disguises herself as a man and secretly follows Bassanio to Venice.
